Curriculum Development / Sustainability Professional Development Specialist
Job Description: Education Media is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainability Professional Development Specialist to contribute to the development and delivery of impactful training programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sustainability education and a proven track record of developing and implementing professional development initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the design and development of sustainability-focused professional development programs. Potentially facilitate training sessions for educators and other stakeholders. Assist in the creation of curriculum materials and resources related to sustainability and climate literacy. Support the planning and execution of professional development activities. Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts to ensure program quality and effectiveness. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) completed sustainability-related professional development trainings or related programs. These trainings or programs must be of similar scope to professional development initiatives within a large educational organization. The experience must be with a public or private agency. Examples could include other large K-12 school districts, county offices of education, or educational non-profits. Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing curriculum related to sustainability and/or climate literacy. Familiarity with the educational landscape in California. Experience with online learning platforms and virtual training delivery. Strong communication and presentation skills.
