Superior Walls Structural Engineer

Request for Licensed Structural Engineer – Foundation Drawing Review & Stamping (North Dakota and Colorado) Project Overview: We are seeking a licensed Structural Engineer to assist with reviewing and stamping precast foundation drawings for our company’s residential and light commercial projects. Our projects utilize the Superior Walls foundation system, which is a panelized precast concrete foundation solution. We require an engineer licensed in North Dakota and/or Colorado (or both) who can: - Perform final review of our already-developed engineering drawings. - Validate calculations and general compliance with IRC and local building codes. - Stamp and seal the final drawing sets for building permit submission. About Us: We are a fast-growing precast concrete manufacturer specializing in high-performance foundation systems. We use advanced drafting software to generate our Superior Walls shop drawings, which include most of the structural calculations needed. Typically, the drawing sets provided for review are 85–90% complete, minimizing the workload required for the engineer. Scope of Work: - Review attached Superior Walls precast foundation drawings. - Verify compliance with applicable building codes: - North Dakota: IRC 2021, local frost depths, assumed 2,000 psf soil bearing. - Colorado: IRC 2018 or updated local amendments, frost depths, snow loads, seismic categories (varies by location). - Minimal additional design work is expected; drawings are pre-engineered. - Focus on ensuring accuracy of point loads, bearing, frost protection, and overall load paths. - Provide Professional Engineer (PE) stamped drawings ready for permit submission. - Complete any minor adjustments if needed before stamping. Project Examples: Current and upcoming projects: - TSG Pump House – Telluride, Colorado (small pump house structure, light steel load, frost depth 48", snow load 75 psf, no geotech). - Residential Homes – North Dakota and Colorado (standard Superior Walls basements and frost walls). Requirements: - Must be a licensed PE in North Dakota and/or Colorado. - Must be able to legally stamp residential structural drawings in those states. - Experience with precast concrete or modular foundation systems preferred. - Strong familiarity with IRC 2018 and IRC 2021 and local snow load, frost depth, and soil conditions. - Must carry appropriate Professional Liability Insurance. - Ability to turn around reviews and stamps within a reasonable timeframe (typically 1-2 business days). - Good communication skills and responsiveness. Deliverables: - Signed and sealed PDF set of drawings suitable for permit submission. - Minor redlines or notes for any required corrections before final stamping (if needed). Additional Information: - We aim to establish an ongoing relationship for future projects. - Opportunity for consistent work as we continue expanding in the Midwest and Mountain West regions. - Payment per project, with potential for bulk pricing or monthly agreements. Please submit: - Your PE license number(s) and state(s) of registration. - A brief description of your relevant experience (especially any precast or Superior Walls experience if available). - Your pricing per stamped project (or hourly rate if preferred). - Your average turnaround time for review and stamping.
