I'm developing a compact handheld mechanical tool designed for use in tight, confined spaces on construction sites. I need a mechanical engineer to: Create full CAD files (outer housing + internal components) Design a one-hand lever mechanism that closes two jaws together simultaneously Ensure the mechanism is strong enough to bite into standard material using ~ 20-30 Ibs of hand squeeze force • Help build or assist in building a basic working prototype using 3D-printed and or machined parts The design must prioritize: Ergonomics (should feel like a professional tool) Strength (blades/jaws must bite cleanly) Compact size (must fit in a very defined tight space -dimensions shared after NDA) I will provide: Concept sketches Full feature description A detailed design brief Important: NDA required before full design details are shared Total project budget: $3,000-$3,500 for CAD + one working prototype Please quote based on this scope.
