Deadline: 10 May 2025 for DOB-accepted, stamped report (court hearing 13 May 2025) Why we need you The City of Chicago has cited exterior wall/structural violations and ordered a “Condition Assessment Report” under Chicago Construction Code §§ 14A-6-603.5 & 14X-1-104. We need a qualified design professional to perform the inspection, author the report, and file it with the Department of Buildings so we can demonstrate compliance and avoid daily fines. Scope of Work Site Visit (in person) in Chicago Visual and close-range inspection of all exterior masonry walls, parapets, chimneys, lintels, roof edges, stairs, and canopies. Photographs and notes of every observed defect. Stamped, Signed Condition Assessment Report Format exactly as required by 14X-1-104: property ID, inspection dates/methods, findings, Safe / Safe-Repair / Unsafe ratings, repair recommendations, and timeline. Include photos, sketches/mark-ups, and your professional seal. DOB Filing Follow-up Support Answer any DOB questions and, if necessary, attend a brief site walk-through with the City inspector (one visit assumed) Minimum Qualifications Active Illinois Architect (RA) or Structural Engineer (SE) Prior experience preparing Chicago façade or condition reports. Ability to visit the site during normal business hours (Mon–Fri, 10 a.m.–5 p.m.).
