Build Airtable + Glide Platform to Support Community Wildfire Recovery Collaboration

We’re seeking an experienced Airtable and Glide app developer to build a shared, interactive, and AI-enabled online platform that will help nonprofit organizations in the Pasadena, CA area coordinate wildfire recovery and resilience efforts. This project supports collaboration among local nonprofits, mutual aid groups, businesses, healthcare providers, health plans, and other community-based organizations. The ideal contractor will be able to design and implement a robust Airtable backend for data collection, analysis, and automation, and develop an easy-to-use Glide front-end interface to support interactivity and accessibility for non-technical users. Project Scope :We need your expertise to help build a platform with the following key functions: --- 1. Build the Airtable Backend Set up relational Airtable databases for: * Organizations & Contacts * Recovery Activities (by geography, populations, conditions, social/economic/environmental risks) * Needs (e.g., skills, training, equipment, partnerships) * Offers (e.g., tools, resources, staff time, space) * Grant Opportunities (AI-curated and/or user-uploaded) * Government Programs (with engagement points) * Shared Priorities & Case Studies Configure: * Custom views by user type or focus area * Linked fields and lookups * Tags or categories (e.g., population served, geography, activity type) * Forms for easy data entry by users (e.g., adding their org, submitting needs or offers) --- 2. Create a User-Friendly Glide Front-End: Build an intuitive interface using Glide that allows users to: * Submit and browse recovery activities * Share and discover organizational needs and offers * View maps and filter by population, location, or activity type * Find grant opportunities and submit interest * Access shared priorities and case studies * View and optionally join or inform governmental coordination efforts Interface must include: * Search and filter capabilities * Mobile responsiveness * Clear user flows and navigation * Conditional logic for showing relevant content --- 3. AI-Powered Features (Optional but Preferred): Integrate GPT-4 (or equivalent) to assist with: * Tagging or summarizing user-submitted content * Weekly summary or digest generation * Matching needs with offers or grant opportunities --- 4. Automations & Notifications: Set up Airtable Automations or Zapier to: * Alert users when matches are made (e.g., need ↔ offer) * Notify about new grants or events * Remind users to update info or attend coordination meetings --- 5. Access & Permissions * Configure secure user access (public vs. admin) * Allow multiple coordinators to review or edit submissions * Ensure the system is low-maintenance and scalable --- 6. Support & Documentation * Provide clear documentation for future admins * Deliver a brief training or walkthrough video for core users * Offer 1–2 weeks of post-launch support for troubleshooting --- Ideal Qualifications: * Proven experience building Glide apps connected to Airtable * Portfolio demonstrating successful no-code or low-code platforms * Strong understanding of relational databases and UX design * Familiarity with Zapier, Make.com, or similar automation tools * Bonus: Experience integrating OpenAI’s GPT or similar LLMs * Bonus: Background in public health, disaster recovery, or community development --- Timeline: We aim to launch the MVP within 6–8 weeks. --- Budget Open to fixed-price or hourly proposals.
