Test and improve Android Application that runs on Chromebooks

Background: We have an Android Application that works in conjunction with a Chrome extension to monitor user activity and manage some of the power states of a Chromebook computer. The application will be a private app (so not available to everyone on the Google store). The app will download and install based upon Google Workspace settings, including a managed configuration that we supply. Using the server URL in the managed configuration, the app will reach out to a server to send up data gathered and pull down 'policies' (instructions on how to behave). Task Details: The App has not been used in the past year, and the server component has progressed dramatically in that time. This raises the concern that the Android App will not understand some of the message content sent by the server and it may not behave well because of this. Additionally, we would like to investigate the option of supporting some of the new server messages/commands in the Android App. Tasks: 1) Test Android App to confirm that it works with the newest server messages, and/or fix any issues. 2) Provide details on which server messages are not currently actioned on by the App. 3) Provide suggestions on which messages could be actioned upon by the App. 4) Confirm that App and Extension are functioning and communicating with each other. 5) If possible, test registration and installation process of App and Extension - This will require you to have access to a Google Workspace environment Helpful: - Chrome Browser extensions experience - Installation/Deployment experience for Android and Chrome Experience: - Evidence of complete development lifecycle experience - Evidence of deep Android internals knowledge and development - Strong HTTP/XML/JSON skills experience
