Job Description We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the electronics and firmware development of a cutting-edge wearable medical device. You will take the design from concept and prototype toward near-production, working closely with a multidisciplinary team. This is a milestone-based contractor role. Remote work is acceptable, but you must have excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with the team and meet project deadlines. Key Responsibilities: • Design and simulate electronic circuits for a battery-powered wearable medical device. • Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems. • Build and test hardware prototypes, iterating rapidly based on test results. • Optimize power consumption and battery management for reliable continuous operation. • Implement signal acquisition and processing algorithms for sensor data. • Collaborate with mechanical, software, and clinical team members to integrate the electronics into the overall product. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. • Proven experience designing and debugging mixed-signal circuits for wearables or medical devices. • Strong firmware development skills (C/C++ or similar) on ARM or other microcontrollers. • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping tools (PCB design software, development kits, oscilloscopes, etc.). • Expertise in low-power design techniques and battery management for portable devices. • Familiarity with signal processing (analog/digital filtering, FFT, etc.) and sensor integration. • US-based (or authorized to work remotely in the US); legal U.S. residency strongly preferred. • Able to work on a milestone-based contract, delivering on agreed project milestones. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration. To Apply: Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your relevant experience in medical or wearable electronics. Also please consider to apply if you don't meet all your qualifications and/or criteria. Qualified candidates will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement before detailed project discussions.
