Remote opportunity. We are seeking a skilled and experienced translator to translate documents between English and Somali. The ideal candidate will have full professional proficiency in Somali and a high level of English proficiency. While prior translation experience is preferred, entry-level applicants will also be considered. Proficiency in other language(s) a huge plus (additional fluency in Arabic will receive additional preference). Interested candidates are invited to submit a resume along with a brief summary (one paragraph) outlining their language skills and translation experience. As an entry into the work, this assignment is being posted on UpWork as a one-time task. The one time task is a short translation of approximately 220 words into Somali. After completing this task, there is opportunity to work with us more extensively in the future, if interested. At this time we are only able to consider candidates located in the United States.
