Fractional Growth To Market Officer


About the Role This is a commission + equity role. We are seeking an ambitious and strategic Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to lead the next stage of our company’s expansion. This is a critical executive role with a clear pathway to transition into the Chief Executive Officer position within [6–18 months / a defined period]. The ideal candidate is a founder-minded operator with a strong track record of driving growth, building cross-functional teams, and scaling early-stage businesses. ⸻ Responsibilities Growth Strategy & Execution • Own and execute the company’s growth strategy across customer acquisition, retention, and revenue expansion • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities across channels, partnerships, product, and markets • Develop and monitor key KPIs tied to company growth and performance Cross-Functional Leadership • Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align growth initiatives with business objectives • Build and manage a high-performance growth team including marketing, data, and growth engineering • Oversee go-to-market strategy, pricing models, and customer segmentation Investor & Stakeholder Relations • Work with the CEO and Board on fundraising strategy and investor updates • Help shape long-term company vision and strategic narrative for external stakeholders Path to CEO • Shadow and partner with the current CEO on high-level decisions • Take increasing ownership of company operations, culture, and strategy • Prepare to assume full leadership responsibility, including P&L ownership, board management, and team leadership ⸻ Requirements • 8+ years of experience in growth, product, marketing, or strategy roles; startup or scale-up experience required • Proven success scaling a product or business from early traction to significant revenue • Deep knowledge of data-driven decision making, customer acquisition funnels, and retention mechanics • Strong leadership and management skills; experience building and leading cross-functional teams • Founder mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, speed, and high accountability • Exceptional communication and storytelling ability—internally and externally ⸻ Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience as a founder, co-founder, or C-level executive • Experience raising capital or working closely with investors • Familiarity with the [industry vertical or business model, e.g., B2B SaaS, marketplace, consumer tech] ⸻ Why Join Us?
