As our Web Developer & Site Migration Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in building, optimizing, and managing websites for our law firm clients. You will be responsible for an occasional full-site build, front-end user experience, backend integrations, and resolving high-level infrastructure challenges, including DNS troubleshooting and cross-platform migrations. You’ll also handle analytics and tracking setup—including Google Analytics, GA4, Google Tag Manager, and basic conversion tracking. This is a highly technical and creative role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, development, and IT infrastructure. You will also work collaboratively within our Teamwork project management platform to ensure timely execution, clear communication, and task accountability. This role also involves providing expert advice on how to run and manage web services effectively. You’ll consult with internal teams and clients on topics such as choosing the right hosting platforms, optimizing website performance, managing DNS and domain infrastructure, and planning for future growth. Your guidance will help shape smart, scalable decisions that improve reliability, speed, and long-term digital success. Key Responsibilities: Website Development & Design • Build custom, responsive websites using WordPress, Elementor, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and industry-standard frameworks • Design user-friendly, accessible layouts that follow brand and legal marketing best practices • Implement SEO-friendly architecture and optimize performance (speed, mobile, UX) • Collaborate with the design team to translate UI/UX mockups into functional pages DNS & Infrastructure Management • Configure, troubleshoot, and manage all DNS records (A, MX, CNAME, TXT, SPF, DKIM, etc.) • Handle name server changes, domain registrar transfers, and DNS propagation issues • Manage SSL certificate setup, renewal, and installation (including wildcard and multi-domain certs) • Support CDN and edge caching configurations (e.g., Cloudflare) Site Migration & Hosting • Execute seamless website migrations across hosts, registrars, and CMS platforms • Set up and test staging environments before deployment • Ensure zero data loss and minimal downtime during migrations • Implement redirects, maintain URL structure, and preserve SEO during transitions Analytics & Tracking Setup • Set up and configure Google Analytics (including GA4), Google Tag Manager, and related tools • Implement basic conversion tracking for web forms, phone calls, and third-party integrations • Collaborate with marketing team to support campaign tracking and performance analysis What You Bring to the Table: • 5+ years of web development experience with a strong portfolio of live websites • Deep knowledge of DNS systems, registrar platforms, and hosting control panels (e.g., GoDaddy, SiteGround, Cloudflare, Bluehost, WP Engine) • Proficiency in WordPress (Elementor and Divi a major plus), HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery • Strong graphic design skills using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or similar tools • Experience with version control (Git), staging workflows, and cross-browser compatibility testing • Ability to troubleshoot server errors, plugin conflicts, and domain-level issues Required Qualifications: • Experience in legal marketing or working with professional services websites • Analytics & Tracking Setup (Google) • Familiarity with PHP, MySQL, or headless CMS setups • Basic SEO knowledge and experience with technical audits • Certifications in web development or DNS/infrastructure management (e.g., CompTIA, AWS, Google Cloud)
