Job Title: ASL Children’s Workbook Illustrator Needed – 25 Images (24 Black & White images + Cover) – Ongoing Work Possible (Commercial Use, Cover Credit Given) Job Description: I’m creating a multilingual children’s handwriting and vocabulary workbook (ages 5–9) that includes American Sign Language (ASL) illustrations. This is the first volume in a planned series. The selected illustrator will receive front-cover credit and in-book recognition. This project includes: • 24 black-and-white ASL illustrations (clip-art style) • 1 full-color front cover based on provided direction Illustration Style Requirements: • Tone: Whimsical, child-friendly, retro-inspired (late '80s to early '90s aesthetic) • Linework: Bold, clean lines—no thin-line, hyper-detailed, vector-heavy, or sterile designs • Clarity: Must clearly show ASL handshape, orientation, and motion in one single-frame image Format: • Black-and-white illustrations (optimized for educational printing) • One image per sign (no multi-step panels) • No anime, realism, or generic digital clip art • Imperfections are fine if they add charm and expressiveness Project Terms: • Flat Rate: $200 total (24 illustrations + 1 color cover) • Usage & Ownership: This is a commercial-use, work-for-hire agreement. You retain credit; I retain full usage rights. • Revisions: Reasonable edits expected for any critical inaccuracies • Timeline: Flexible, with a target of 1–2 weeks for completion • Future Work: 4 additional books are already planned. If this project performs well, I will return to the same illustrator for future volumes—at increased rates. You’ll be credited on all future covers and promotional materials.
