We are seeking a skilled Message Strategist or Communication Specialist to help distill complex financial concepts into clear, concrete, emotionally resonant, and memorable messages. Our company, focused on innovative financial strategies like mortgage acceleration, needs an expert to refine our core messaging to make it "stick" with our target audience (homeowners aged 40-65). Drawing inspiration from Made to Stick by Chip and Dan Heath, you will transform jargon-heavy content into vivid, relatable narratives that drive engagement and action. Responsibilities - Analyze existing messaging (emails, ads, videos, and website content) to identify core ideas and eliminate complexity. raft simplified, sticky messages that are concrete (e.g., using tangible analogies like the movie theater popcorn example from Made to Stick), emotional, and easy to grasp. -Develop compelling narratives and taglines that align with our brand and resonate with homeowners seeking financial security. -Collaborate with our marketing team to ensure messaging consistency across campaigns, including email, social media ads, and video scripts. -Provide actionable recommendations to enhance clarity and impact, incorporating storytelling, metaphors, or visuals. Optionally, create 1-2 sample deliverables (e.g., a revised email or ad script) to demonstrate your approach. Requirements - Proven experience in message simplification, brand storytelling, or strategic communication (please provide portfolio or examples). - Strong understanding of Made to Stick principles (Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, Credible, Emotional, Stories) or similar frameworks like Storybrand. - Ability to translate analytical or financial concepts into relatable, audience-friendly language. - Experience in marketing, copywriting, or content strategy, preferably in finance, real estate, or related fields. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with our team remotely. Bonus: Familiarity with creating messaging for homeowners or financial services audiences. Project Details Duration: 1-2 hours of masterminding and strategizing session. Deliverables: A messaging strategy document with revised core message, 2-3 sample messages (e.g., email, ad copy, or tagline), and recommendations for implementation.
