Apex is seeking a Part-Time IT Specialist with hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). We are currently transitioning our virtual desktop services to Azure and need a technically skilled individual to support, maintain, and scale our multi-session virtual desktop environment in a cloud server. Key Responsibilities: • Manage and optimize Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktops (AVD) for performance and scalability • Configure and support multi-session virtual desktops hosting 5+ users • Assist in maintaining and implementing: o Azure Active Directory Premium P1 (SSO & user management) o Microsoft Entra ID P2 (Advanced identity protection) o Microsoft 365 F1 & Business Premium licenses (Office tools, email, cloud apps) • Monitor virtual desktop usage and manage cost-effective scaling • Troubleshoot technical issues related to virtual desktops and Azure services • Work closely with leadership to test, release, and maintain a stable cloud-hosted environment Requirements: • Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, especially Azure Virtual Desktop • Strong understanding of Azure AD, Microsoft Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 suite • Familiarity with cloud identity and access management • Experience setting up and managing multi-user VDI environments • Ability to work independently, document processes, and manage tickets • Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
