Who We Are Looking For Phoenix Tailings is seeking a part-time Contract Controller to support our finance operations during a critical stage of company growth. This role will ensure financial accuracy, operational compliance, and visibility into key metrics — driving confidence across our leadership and investors. Key Responsibilities • Lead monthly close processes and maintain general ledger integrity • Prepare financial reports and variance analyses for leadership review • Ensure GAAP compliance across all reporting activities • Support audit prep and tax filings with external partners • Maintain and improve controls around accounting operations • Use NetSuite to manage accounting functions and workflows • Provide proactive financial insight to inform business decisions Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in accounting or financial controller roles • Proficient in NetSuite (required) • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance • CPA or equivalent experience preferred • Excellent attention to detail and accountability
