Microsoft word content control issue

I wrote a small book in MS word recently. Out of nowhere all the words I wrote were formatted in a way that they are now collectively imprisoned in a text box. The issue is everywhere on the document. I have no idea how this happened. I just need the content controls fixed. I am unsure of the technical component on how to fix my word document. It's not simply a few words. I have submitted a jpg image screen shot showing of one page that I highlighted all the words that were mysteriously given bounding boxes around them. It seems like a quick 15 minute job for someone who knows what they are doing.
