Job Description: I’m seeking an experienced mechanical engineer, fabricator, or product designer to help me build a functioning prototype of a custom vending machine that dispenses delicate, refrigerated French macarons. This prototype is for a Shark Tank–ready business, so aesthetic quality and mechanical function are equally important. The Concept: A refrigerated vending machine that dispenses boxed sweet and savory macarons Needs to protect fragile product (soft delivery mechanism preferred) Branded in lavender + gold with an elevated, boutique-style appearance Includes a motion-activated scent diffuser (e.g., vanilla or bakery scent) What I Have: A functioning product (macarons + packaging) Detailed concept art, branding, and inspiration boards Patent-pending delivery/scent concept Willingness to buy a used or new vending chassis to retrofit What I Need: Help sourcing or modifying a vending machine (combo snack/beverage base is fine) Customization of interior trays or a soft-drop mechanism for macaron packaging Basic cooling functionality (like a refrigerated snack machine) Integration of scent release via motion sensor (USB diffuser + PIR OK for prototype) Optional: cosmetic work (wrap or housing) to elevate visual appeal Ideal Skills: Experience with vending machines, kiosks, or mechanical product builds Familiarity with refrigerated or food-safe enclosures Industrial design or fabrication background a plus Bonus: experience with motion sensors or Arduino-based automation Deliverables: Working prototype with soft-delivery or tray-style dispensing system Cooling function to ~38–45°F Branded/final-look exterior or detailed wrap specs Video walkthrough and support materials for presentation/demo Location: Prefer within driving distance of Northern California.
