Part-Time Brand Copywriter (Kavahana Voice & Vibe)

We're looking for our first-ever copywriter to help us uphold our brand voice across all channels (socials, ads, email, etc). My brand, Kavahana, is a two part brand with an in-person (super fun!) café in Santa Monica, California as well as an ecommerce brand. We specialize in our own product called kava nectar, which is a powder made from the roots of plants that naturally promote a relaxed, smiley effect. We serve non-alcoholic cocktails with kava nectar at our café/bar in LA, and sell the powder online. One of the biggest pain points in our company is making sure language sounds good and pursuasive across all aspects of the company. This role would be a combination of editing copy from our other team members, as well as creating new copy. We have different team members with different specialties, and we need one voice that understands our voice to unify them. If you take a look at our videos on instagram, what we're looking for is that exact same sort of tone in our copy. Never ChatGPT, always authentic, sort of like "talking to your friend" vibe. This is an hourly role (roughly 5–10 hours per week) for someone who knows how to write and edit with personality fun, casual, and never corporate. You’ll help all our team members stay on-brand across social media, paid ads, emails, and web content NOTE: DO NOT CALL OUR BRICK AND MORTAR LOCATION FOR THIS ROLE.
