Financial Modeling Expert for Acquisition & Investor Analysis

Description: We are seeking an experienced freelance financial analyst or investment banking professional to update and build a robust financial model to support our acquisition of a fastener manufacturing and distribution business in Chicago (“Chicago Fastener”). The model will be used to: • Generate detailed financial projections (5+ years) • Perform return analysis including IRR and MOIC scenarios • Model capital structure scenarios including debt, equity, seller notes, earn-outs, etc. • Analyze investor return waterfalls based on preferred returns and carried interest • Provide summary outputs and visuals suitable for investor pitch decks Deliverables include: • 3-statement integrated model (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) • Detailed cap table and investor return scenarios • Multiple financing structure sensitivities • Break-even and payback period analysis • Outputs formatted for pitch decks (charts, tables, key metrics) Ideal Candidate: • Background in private equity, investment banking, or FP&A • Proficient in Excel modeling and scenario analysis • Able to work with limited data and build clear, investor-ready outputs • Experience with small/mid-size M&A transactions, especially in manufacturing or distribution, is a plus Project Timeline: We are looking to move quickly and expect a turnaround in 1-3 days for the first draft.
