Hi there! I run a small boutique real estate firm based in Aspen, Colorado, and I’m looking for an experienced bookkeeper to help keep things tidy behind the scenes. This role is perfect for someone familiar with real estate transactions (sales and rentals), QuickBooks Online, and tax remittance processes for the state of Colorado. Bonus points if you’ve worked with brokers, agents, or property managers before and already know your way around commission breakdowns, 1099s, and short-term rental reporting. The Basics: Part-time (monthly or weekly cadence TBD) Remote is fine, but preference for someone familiar with Colorado tax compliance Flexible, but must be reliable and deadline-driven What You’ll Help With: Ongoing QuickBooks Online bookkeeping (clean-up + categorization) Reconciliation of property-related expenses and income Tracking rental income, commissions, and property management fees Setting up and maintaining clean chart of accounts Supporting short-term rental lodging tax remittance (City of Aspen, Pitkin County, State of CO) Helping prepare documentation for CPA (no actual filing, just prep) Possibly assisting with W-9s and 1099s You’d Be a Great Fit If You: Know your way around QuickBooks Online inside and out Have experience with real estate or property management accounting Understand the basics of short-term rental taxes (or are eager to learn) Are based in or very familiar with Colorado bookkeeping and tax rules Are organized, independent, and enjoy working with small business owners To Apply: Please share: Your experience with real estate bookkeeping or property-related clients Your familiarity with Colorado taxes or short-term rental remittance Your hourly rate or monthly retainer preference Any certifications (QBO, bookkeeping, etc.) Looking forward to finding someone great to help keep the back office running smoothly so I can stay focused on my clients and business growth. —Alexandra
