Fractional HR Manager for Growing Law Firm


Description: We are a rapidly growing law firm seeking an experienced Fractional HR Manager to help us build and streamline our HR department. This is ideal for someone with strong HR expertise who enjoys creating structure, supporting administrative teams, and helping small businesses scale effectively. Responsibilities: - Assist with developing foundational HR policies, SOPs, and documentation - Advise on hiring, onboarding, and performance management processes - Support administrative staff with HR-related questions and needs - Oversee or assist with compliance-related tasks and employee documentation - Collaborate with leadership to identify and implement best practices in HR - Recommend and implement HR tools or systems (e.g., for time tracking, reviews, etc.) Requirements: - 5+ years of HR experience (experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred but not required) - Strong understanding of U.S. HR laws and contractor/employee distinctions - Experience creating HR documentation and internal policies - Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach - Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a remote setting - Familiarity with tools like BambooHR, Gusto, or similar systems is a plus Details: - Location: Remote (Must be based in the USA) - Commitment: 5+ hours/week to start, with flexibility based on need - Compensation: Competitive, based on experience If you're a self-starter who thrives on bringing organization to fast-moving environments and wants to play a key role in shaping a firm’s HR foundation, we’d love to hear from you.
