We seek a part-time, Independent Contractor, Email Marketing Specialist with the expertise to develop, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns that drive engagement, nurture leads, and convert customers for our clients in the health and B2B space. The ideal candidate has experience in email automation, segmentation, A/B testing, performance analytics, and custom HTML email design to craft high-performing campaigns. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute email marketing strategies to support client goals, including lead nurturing, customer retention, and promotional campaigns. Design, develop and optimize both HTML-based emails AND emails created with native builders that are responsive and visually engaging. Adapt written content and available content links for use in email communications. Build and manage email automation workflows, segmentation strategies, and drip campaigns. Conduct A/B testing to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. Monitor and analyze key email performance metrics (deliverability, CTR, conversion rates, etc.) and provide insights for continuous improvement, including insights correlated with UTM parameters Ensure email campaigns comply with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and other email regulations. Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and strategists to create engaging email templates and landing pages. Troubleshoot email rendering issues across various devices and email clients (Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.). Stay up-to-date with email marketing trends, tools, and best practices in the health and wellness industry. Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably in an agency or health and wellness brand. Strong proficiency in Figma, HTML & CSS for email development (hand-coding experience required). Experience with email marketing platforms (Pardot / SFMC, Constant Contact, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, OnGage, etc.). Solid understanding of email automation, segmentation, and personalization strategies. Knowledge of email deliverability best practices and compliance regulations. Ability to analyze performance metrics and make data-driven decisions. Experience with A/B testing and conversion optimization. Strong troubleshooting skills for email rendering issues and responsive design. Ability to adapt writing style to match different client brand voices and tones, especially in regulated industries. Ability to translate performance data into clear, actionable reports for clients or internal stakeholders. Familiarity with email accessibility best practices (e.g., alt text, contrast ratios, semantic HTML) to ensure emails are inclusive and readable for all audiences. Nice-to-Haves Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and limiting PHI in patient related communications. Familiarity with Litmus or Email on Acid for email testing (preferred). Experience integrating email campaigns with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) and using customer data to inform segmentation and targeting strategies. Details This position is a 1099 contractor position. 20-30 hours per week, potential to grow into FT position.
