I am in the process of finalizing a lease for a new office. I would like to understand what office/meeting pods (specs of products in contention will be supplied) can be installed in the office without a building permit (eg, would be treated as furniture, not construction/work requiring permit). I have seen that some brands have life-safety (opening roof vents), strobes, circulation and ventilation systems, etc. built in, while other similar looking products do not. Its important to understand what the Florida Building Code, Miami-Dade County Building Code and City of Miami, Florida Building Code requires or excludes from permitting.
