Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented Documentation & Formatting Specialist to support our team with ongoing project-based updates. This role is ideal for someone who loves organizing content, polishing layouts, and ensuring brand consistency across documents — without needing to create original content. All written content, templates, and design guidelines will be fully provided. You will simply format, organize, and finalize documents for internal and external use. This is a project-based role: • Assignments will be given as needed (batch projects) • Paid per project milestone, not ongoing hourly work ⸻ Scope of Work: • Update sections within existing documents based on provided edits • Complete full document redesigns using provided layouts and brand guidelines • Format and organize multi-page documents into clean, visually consistent templates • Ensure proper fonts, spacing, headers, and brand elements are applied throughout • Export completed documents into polished, print-ready files (PDFs) • Carefully review final documents to ensure there are no duplicated sections, repetitive content, or formatting inconsistencies ⸻ Examples of Typical Projects: • Updating and reformatting 5–10 page onboarding guides • Reworking layout of 15–20 page policy manuals • Adjusting section headers and visual design on family/client-facing materials ⸻ Skills Needed: • Strong document formatting and layout skills (Google Docs, Canva, or similar platforms) • Attention to detail (spacing, consistency, professional polish) • Ability to follow brand guidelines precisely • Clear and timely communication • Strong ability to work independently with provided content and clear directions • Strong attention to document flow — ability to catch duplicated sections, repetitive content, or missing elements before finalizing ⸻ Compensation: • Section Updates (1–8 pages): $25–$60 per batch, depending on size • Small Full Redesigns (up to 10 pages): $65–$90 • Medium Full Redesigns (11–20 pages): $90–$125 • Large Full Redesigns (20+ pages): $125–$175 (Rates may vary slightly depending on project complexity.) ⸻ Other Details: • Long-term potential for ongoing project work if successful • Communication via Upwork and email • Project assignments with clear deadlines and milestone expectations • No content creation required — formatting and layout focus only ⸻ To Apply: Please submit: • A few examples of documents you have formatted or designed (portfolio samples preferred) • A brief note about your experience with document updates, formatting, or template work • Confirmation you are comfortable with project-based flat-rate payment per milestone Please Note: To be considered for this project, candidates must be willing to sign a standard Freelance Services Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) prior to beginning any work.
