We’re looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented podcast producer to support Autistic FM, a weekly interview-based podcast that helps non-autistic people understand and love the autistic folks in their lives. Guests include autistic people, their loved ones, and subject matter experts. The tone is heartfelt, clear, and curious — think “human connection first, education second.” What you’ll do: • Edit weekly podcast episodes (recordings ~75 minutes, final cut ~60 minutes) • Shape pacing, add intro/outro, clean up audio, and finalize in Descript • Draft short script segments for autism-related “explainer” sidebars (host-recorded) • Coordinate with guests as needed (e.g., intake forms, scheduling reminders) • Track episode status and stay organized across multiple episodes About you: • Experienced podcast editor/producer with a portfolio of past work • Fluent in Descript or willing to get up to speed fast • Excellent communicator who takes initiative and hits deadlines • Comfortable collaborating async, but ideally with some overlap to California time • Empathetic, curious, and respectful in how you work with neurodivergent folks • Bonus: You’re neurodivergent yourself or have direct experience in the autism space This is an ongoing role, with one episode per week. We have a modest but fair budget and are happy to talk scope and pricing based on your experience.
