Fundraising & Outreach Specialist – Help Bring Skateboarding to K-12 PE Classes

Description: The US Skateboarding Education Association is seeking a motivated and persuasive Fundraising & Outreach Specialist to help expand skateboarding programs in K-12 schools across the United States. Many schools want to add skateboarding to their PE curriculum but lack the necessary funding and equipment. We know there are local and national organizations willing to help—your mission is to connect with them and secure their support! Responsibilities: Research and identify local and national organizations (businesses, nonprofits, skate shops, community groups, and foundations) that could support K-12 skateboarding programs. Conduct outreach via phone, email, and online meetings to pitch the benefits of supporting skateboarding in schools. Build relationships with decision-makers and tailor your message to each organization’s interests and community impact goals. Secure donations of funds and/or skateboarding equipment for participating schools. Track outreach progress, maintain records of contacts and pledges, and provide regular updates to the team. Collaborate with our team to develop compelling outreach materials and success stories. Requirements: Proven experience in fundraising, community outreach, or nonprofit development (preferably with education or youth programs). Excellent communication and persuasion skills—comfortable making calls and presenting to organizations. Organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently to meet outreach and fundraising goals. Experience with CRM tools or spreadsheets to track outreach efforts is a plus. Passion for youth development, education, or skateboarding is a bonus! Project Details: Remote, flexible hours. Part-time or project-based, with potential for ongoing work.
