As we expand our presence at major education conferences and industry events, we are seeking a part-time PR professional to help elevate our brand, drive media coverage, and support ongoing communications strategy. Studient is an affiliate of 2 Hour Learning which also produces the Future of Education. Your proposal should include evidence that you've researched who we are. Timing We are looking to hire immediately for PR and Media support for the ISTE conference in San Antonio June 29-July 3. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced PR freelancer to join our team on a fractional basis (10-20 hours/week) for the next 6 months, with potential extension into 2026. The ideal candidate will have proven experience promoting companies at large-scale industry conferences, preferably in the EdTech sector. They will develop and execute PR strategies to promote Studient at conferences, build relationships with education and tech media outlets, and provide strategic and tactical support to increase brand awareness among educational decision-makers. Key Responsibilities -Develop and execute PR strategies to promote Studient at large education and technology conferences (e.g., securing media coverage and attendee engagement). -Build relationships with education and tech media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure coverage of Studient’s milestones and success stories. -Create press materials, including releases, media kits, and bylined articles, to highlight our innovative approach and outcomes. -Support ongoing PR needs, such as thought leadership content, award submissions, and podcast/interview opportunities. -Provide monthly reports on PR activities and results (e.g., media impressions, coverage sentiment). Requirements -Proven experience promoting companies at large-scale conferences (please provide specific examples). -Strong media relations skills with a network in education or technology sectors. -Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, part-time capacity (10-20 hours/week). -Excellent writing and communication skills for crafting compelling PR content. -Experience in EdTech or education PR is highly preferred. -Must be focused on freelance, fractional or contract opportunities (no other full-time employment) Nice to Have -Existing relationships with EdTech media outlets (e.g., EdWeek, EdSurge, District Administration). -Familiarity with PR measurement tools (e.g., Cision, Meltwater) or analytics for tracking impact. -Experience supporting lead generation through PR initiatives.
