About the Role: We are looking for an experienced Fractional Social Media Strategist & Manager to develop and execute best-in-class organic social media strategies for a growing roster of DTC e-commerce clients. This role balances creative content production and scheduling with strategic planning and performance optimization. You will lead the full social media lifecycle—from crafting content calendars to reporting on key KPIs—while helping our brands foster deeper engagement and audience growth across platforms. As a fractional contractor, you'll collaborate closely with our creative, paid media, and lifecycle marketing teams to ensure social content aligns with campaign goals, customer journeys, and evolving trends in digital culture. Please note that this position is required to deliver 100% of contracted work within Forge’s existing ClickUp task management and Slack communication channels. Key Responsibilities: Social Strategy & Planning: Develop and own social media strategies for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn (as needed), tailored to each client’s goals, product lifecycle, and audience. Map content and messaging to brand funnels, from awareness to conversion to retention and advocacy, aligned with the Forge Framework. Audit competitors and industry trends to identify opportunities and creative gaps. Content Calendar & Creative Direction: Plan and manage monthly content calendars with a mix of brand storytelling, product highlights, promotions, and user-generated content (UGC). Provide creative briefs for internal or external design/video partners; occasionally edit and create content using Canva, CapCut, etc. Write captions, hooks, and CTAs that reflect each brand’s voice and drive interaction. Ensure all content is aligned with current campaign timelines, product launches, and marketing initiatives. Community Engagement & Brand Voice Management: Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and mentions in real-time or within 24 hours, maintaining consistent brand tone and customer care. Surface customer insights, FAQs, or sentiment trends to the internal team for cross-functional action (e.g., lifecycle or CX improvements). Foster a sense of community by engaging with UGC, followers, and like-minded brand pages. Performance Reporting & Optimization: Track and report on platform-specific KPIs: engagement rate, reach, impressions, saves, shares, clicks, and follower growth. Analyze content performance and suggest actionable insights to optimize future strategies. Use reporting tools like Meta Suite, Later, Sprout, or native analytics to create monthly client-ready updates. Platform Growth & Experimentation: Recommend and test growth tactics (hashtags, influencers, giveaways, collabs, boosted posts) aligned to client KPIs. Identify opportunities to amplify high-performing organic content via paid channels. Stay updated on emerging formats, platform updates, and best practices in short-form content. Required Qualifications & Experience: 3+ years of professional experience managing social media for DTC or e-commerce brands (agency experience a plus). Proven track record of building engagement and follower growth across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook in particular. Strong copywriting skills and an eye for visual storytelling that drives clicks and conversation. Familiarity with common tools: Canva, CapCut, Later, Meta Business Suite, Google Drive. Ability to analyze and interpret performance data to optimize campaigns. Confident self-starter who thrives in a remote, deadline-driven work culture. Comfortable managing multiple brands/accounts simultaneously. Preferred but Not Required: Experience with influencer/affiliate management or UGC sourcing. Background working alongside paid media or lifecycle/email marketing teams. Light editing skills in Capcut, Adobe Premiere or other mobile video tools.
