Job Summary: The Nurse Practitioner Coordinator (NPC) is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and support of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) within a telehealth setting. This includes managing schedules, assigning tasks such as referrals, cold calls, and prescription processing, and ensuring all documentation and patient interactions meet operational standards. The NPC serves as the primary liaison between NPs and internal support teams to ensure timely, high-quality care delivery. Key Responsibilities: 1. Scheduling & Shift Coordination -Manage NP calendars and shifts, ensuring coverage is aligned with patient demand. -Adjust schedules in response to cancellations, shift changes, or patient needs. -Coordinate and confirm shift adjustments, shift shortening, or extensions with NPs. 2. Communication & Support -Serve as the main point of contact for NPs via email, or phone. -Relay urgent requests, scheduling updates, and protocol reminders clearly and professionally. -Respond to NP inquiries and issues, providing timely resolutions or escalating as needed. 3. Task Assignment -Assign patient referrals, cold calls, prescriptions, and administrative tasks to NPs based on availability. -Monitor completion of referrals, cold calls, prescriptions, and administrative tasks, following up as necessary. 4. Documentation & Compliance -Ensure NP notes, cold call outcomes, and prescriptions are properly documented in Google Drive, internal dashboards, and patient folders. -Monitor folders and sheets (e.g., Prescriptions, Cold Calls, AR & Referrals) for accuracy and completeness. -Ensure NPs are using the correct Birch email when accessing files to maintain compliance. 5. Prescription Coordination -Monitor and route prescription requests to available NPs. -Communicate with pharmacies to verify prescription fulfillment or issues. -Follow up with patients regarding pharmacy-related concerns. 6. Interdepartmental Coordination -Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Scan Team, Admin, Scheduling) to manage patient care flow. -Communicate NP availability and coordinate backup or coverage when needed. Qualifications: -Strong administrative, communication, and coordination skills Experience working in a telehealth, medical, or healthcare operations environment preferred -Familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, Calendly, and telehealth dashboards -Ability to multitask, remain organized, and respond promptly to shifting priorities -Professional, empathetic, and solution-oriented in patient- and provider-facing communication Soft Skills: -Proactive and detail-oriented -Calm under pressure -Excellent time management -Able to work independently in a remote setting -Strong interpersonal skills with a supportive team mindset
