Project Overview: I am looking for an experienced Flask/Python developer to resolve API integration issues and optimize the backend of a travel-focused web application. This role involves fixing inconsistent API responses, optimizing performance, and ensuring accurate data formatting for live flight search results. The backend is built on Flask and integrates with a live travel API (like Travelpayouts, Airhob, or Amadeus). Key Responsibilities: Debug and optimize Flask-based backend API calls. Refine API response formatting to ensure accurate frontend display. Fix autocomplete and airport code search issues. Optimize caching and data handling for faster, more reliable responses. Ensure the backend is production-ready and fully integrated with the live frontend. Collaborate with me to refine the flight search logic and result filtering. Requirements: US Citizen (Required) Strong experience with Flask and Python for API development. Expertise in REST API integration, especially with travel APIs like Travelpayouts, Airhob, or Amadeus. Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend API integration. Experience with server deployment (e.g., Render, AWS, Heroku). Strong attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines. Ability to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) and provide a copy of your state-issued ID or driver’s license for verification. Nice to Have: Experience with flight search algorithms or travel booking platforms. Familiarity with autocomplete and airport code datasets.
