OVERVIEW: We are launching a product on Shopify and need a developer with strong Shopify theme and Liquid customization experience to help us achieve two goals: Display each color variant of a product as its own standalone product listing on the storefront while maintaining a shared SKU and centralized inventory. Build a temporary landing page with a countdown timer for the product launch. PART 1: Variant Listings as Separate Products (Same SKU) Objective: We want each color of a single product to appear as its own product tile on the collection page, with its own product page showing only its relevant images, while all variants point back to the same underlying SKU and inventory. REQUIREMENTS: Create separate listings (products or proxies) for each color variant of a product. Ensure each listing: -Displays the correct images for that color only. -Feels like a standalone product on the front end. -Shares inventory with the master product/SKU (via variant connection or app-based solution). -Maintain proper URL structure and SEO best practices. -Ensure user flow is smooth across collection → product → cart. -Solution should be native to Shopify or use a lightweight app (if needed), avoiding bloated plugins. PART 2: Temporary Landing Page with Countdown Timer Objective: Create a visually engaging, brand-consistent landing page that serves as a temporary product teaser before launch. REQUIREMENTS: Design and build a custom page using Shopify’s Online Store 2.0 or custom HTML section. Include: -Countdown timer (native or third-party embed) -Launch messaging and visuals (assets provided) -Email capture (optional) -Responsive design for mobile and desktop -Ability to remove/swap this page easily once the product goes live.
