Assistant Editor - Designer Home Tours Location: New York, NY Schedule: Part-time, 1-2 days per week in office for 8 hours/day Department: Production Position Overview We are seeking a NEW YORK CITY or TRI STATE BASED detail-oriented Assistant Editor to support our Designer Home Tour Video content. This role combines post-production work with some on-set assistance, perfect for someone looking to grow their skills in the lifestyle and design content space. Key Responsibilities Post-Production (Primary Focus) Review and organize raw video footage from Designer Home Tours shoots Upload and manage video files in our cloud-based storage system Edit and clean up footage using Adobe Premiere Pro Organize content by room and create logical file structures Research and select appropriate music tracks using MusicBed for each room/episode Integrate selected music cues into production scripts Utilize Otter AI to transcribe raw footage and create initial script drafts Create marathon episodes by combining multiple episodes into extended content for YouTube Maintain organized project files and version control Production Support Assist with on-location filming as needed (flexible schedule) Support camera operations, lighting setup, and general production tasks Help coordinate shoot logistics and equipment management Required Qualifications Must be able to work in our New York office at least 1 day per week Must be able to attend shoots in the New York/Tri State as available Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro with demonstrated video editing knowledge and capability (portfolio or examples required) Experience with video file organization and management Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Familiarity with cloud-based storage systems Basic understanding of music licensing and sync Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
