Summary About Us: We are a dynamic e-commerce company building towards retail and are in need of an experienced and detail-oriented freelance bookkeeper to join our team. Our company operates on accrual accounting principles, and we are looking for a skilled bookkeeper to help us manage our financial records efficiently, with a strong emphasis on accurate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) tracking and Profitability Metrics. Job Responsibilities: Perform bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and journal entries. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Accurately track and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for our products. Provide industry standard forecasting. Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices. Assist with year-end audits and tax preparations. Work closely with our team to provide accurate and timely financial information. Provide recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities. Requirements: Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in an e-commerce environment. Proficiency in QBO accounting software. Strong understanding of accrual accounting principles. Demonstrated expertise in tracking and analyzing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. US-based freelancer with a reliable internet connection.
