building a mini side‑project in meta horizon worlds to showcase gen ai 3d modeling by cloning my old original facebook idle fishing game (fish wrangler)... it does some pretty funny/odd stuff, which can make it interesting. all modeling is handled via ai‑gen prefabs – you’ll focus on scripting the core loop and data‑driven engine with nostalgia elements and a shop npc. Core Loop: -equip pole and bait -click “fish now” (or vr rod fling, realistic physics like bobber bay) -3 sec cooldown plus time‑gated luck regen (1 try per 5 min) with premium chum to skip wait and x2 xp -catch = +2 xp (including rare bonus), miss = +1 xp -xp tracked on user and active pole for upgrades and mini purchases -pole leveling based on xp thresholds (xp_per_level × level) -idle catch every 15 min if active in last week (calculated after last_seen and added to skippers log) Data‑driven requirements: -define content in json or arrays so new fish, poles, baits, locations, achievements plug in easily.
