The Magento Developer will be responsible for working on a client project with Magento-based B2B websites. You will lead the technical development and optimization of a customized Magento platform while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver high-performance web solutions. You will work closely with external and internal development, PM, and business teams to maintain and enhance the performance of the websites, in line with the client’s business type and goals. Responsibilities - Lead the technical development and optimization of a customized Magento platform - Performance Optimization: Analyze and address bottlenecks in Magento performance, including database queries, front-end rendering, and backend workflows - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and business stakeholders - Optimize Magento performance, scalability, and security - Own and maintain quality and consistency standards for the e-commerce site’s content and structure - Manage data updates – bulk manipulate and transform data as needed, format flat files for import/export, setup jobs as needed for regular updates - Configure site settings as needed – stores, shipping, catalog, and cart rules - Evaluate, configure and test custom modules and extensions as needed, coordinating with team members to implement and ensure adoption as intended - Support code development process as needed via system analysis, requirements documentation and testing site functions - Report your ongoing progress to your dev lead and project manager weekly Qualifications - Experience with Magento development required (show portfolio samples) ---- NOTE: Candidates without proof of Magento work will not be considered - Magento e-commerce experience maintaining site and administrating updates, preferably with Magento 2 - Experience integrating Magento with third-party services, REST/SOAP APIs, GraphQL, and microservices - HTML experience with ability to create and troubleshoot/fix customer content layouts - Prior experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment - Ability to communicate with our team on Slack - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - Must be US-based - no agencies Aiming to hire ASAP / in March 2025
