Project Type: Short-Term Contract (Remote) Client: Sigma Training Solutions Timeline: May–June 2025 Estimated Hours: 10–20 hours total Hourly Rate: $100/hour (negotiable based on experience) About the Project: Sigma Training Solutions is developing a Safety Management System (SMS) training curriculum for a major U.S. international airport. We’re looking for an aviation safety expert to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to ensure our training content is accurate, current, and aligned with federal airport safety standards. This project includes three short eLearning modules and one supervisor training in PowerPoint format. The courses will be used to train airside employees, supervisors, and senior leadership on key SMS concepts, reporting processes, and risk management practices. Responsibilities: Review scripts, slide decks, and knowledge checks for technical accuracy and relevance Ensure alignment with federal safety guidelines and airport operational procedures Provide detailed feedback and suggestions to enhance the quality and regulatory compliance of training materials Participate in up to two video calls with our instructional design team Deliver written feedback via tracked documents, email, or Google Docs Ideal Candidate Has: Experience working in or consulting with commercial airports or airport safety programs Solid understanding of Safety Management Systems (SMS) frameworks, including safety policy, hazard identification, risk management, and incident reporting Familiarity with U.S. federal safety standards applicable to airside operations at airports Ability to translate complex safety and regulatory topics into clear, practical feedback for training purposes Comfortable working remotely with fast-moving teams Bonus Points for: Previous experience developing or reviewing airport safety training Former role in airport operations, airfield safety, or compliance auditing Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM-based course development How to Apply: Please submit: Please attach your resume A short note outlining your experience with airport safety or SMS Availability between late May and mid-June
