We are looking for a copyright attorney to handle matters on a recurring basis. We operate a number of businesses including a lodging photography company. In 20 yeas we have had a number of cases where businesses infringed on our copyrighted photos. Those infringements have been pursued, and that has resulted in securing damages. Usually that has been done with letter notice to the infringer, or negotiation with the infringer, sometimes with the infringer's attorney. Occasionally it has been necessary to file suit to get the infringers attention. None have gone entirely through the court process There seems to be steady but small stream of these matters that come up regularly. There are a few currently and we should should presume others will arise over time.. That is why we now seek a qualified Copyright attorney to advise and represent us. Most matters are in Washington State, although we may have others in the Northwest states or possibly elsewhere in the country. So it will be necessary to be admitted in Federal Court in Washington State.
