I am seeking a skilled developer to assist in creating a hydraulic model of my wastewater system using PySWMM. Our infrastructure data—including pipes, pumps, valves, manholes, and storage tanks—is organized within a GIS framework and can be made available as a .inp file. The system primarily consists of force mains rather than gravity-fed lines. Project Objectives: 1. Data Integration: Read owner-provided SWMM .inp files into PySWMM to construct an accurate hydraulic model. 2. Flow Management: Input predetermined flow rates at specific nodes, bypassing traditional rainfall and runoff calculations. 3. Interactive Simulation Control: Develop a map-based interface that allows users to: o Visualize the model overlaid on an interactive map (zoom in and zoom out capabilities). o Color-code pipes based on pressure variations. o Start or stop simulations directly from the interface. o Visualize dynamic model simulation results on the map (flows, pressures, etc.) based on the selected asset. Results should be displayed in a time series chart. 4. Real-Time System Control: Enable dynamic adjustments of system components during simulations, including: o Valve positions. o Storage tank capacities. Note that the majority of this work should focus on the front-end development of the map and model. Developing a user-friendly front-end with intuitive interactivity is key. Requirements: • Understanding of spatial data: Ability to handle and process geographical data effectively. • Python Development: Experience with Python, particularly in utilizing libraries such as PySWMM. • Hydraulic Modeling: While in-depth knowledge isn't mandatory, a basic understanding of hydraulic systems is beneficial.
