Title: Industrial X-Ray CT Specialist for Aerospace Parts Analysis (SAR Process Support Provided) Description: We’re a DoD-certified aerospace contractor seeking a U.S.-based specialist in industrial X-ray computed tomography (CT) to assist in precision part analysis for defense-related applications. You must be experienced in operating industrial CT scanning systems used for nondestructive inspection and dimensional analysis. Prior experience with defense or aerospace parts is strongly preferred. We’ll provide training and guidance on the Source Approval Request (SAR) process, but you should already be proficient in using CT scanning tools for high-precision engineering tasks. Key Responsibilities: Operate and interpret data from industrial CT scanning systems for metal and composite aerospace components. Perform dimensional analysis and support digital part reconstruction efforts. Deliver clean, accurate 3D datasets to support the creation of technical data packages (TDPs). Work closely with our engineering team to meet DoD standards and traceability requirements. Support SAR documentation (we’ll train you on this). Project Details: Commitment: Up to 30 hrs/week Duration: Less than 1 month Engagement: Hourly, one-time project Location Requirement: U.S. only Must-Have Skills & Qualifications: Experience operating industrial CT scanners (e.g., Nikon, GE Phoenix, North Star Imaging, etc.) Understanding of nondestructive evaluation (NDE) principles Experience working with aerospace or defense components Proper licensing or certification for industrial radiography Ability to produce usable data for CAD and TDP development Nice-to-Have (but not required): Familiarity with DLA’s RPPOB or SAR process Knowledge of GD&T and 3D CAD modeling To Apply:
