About the Role: We're a growth marketing agency managing a portfolio of mobile apps across fitness, wellness, and lifestyle categories. We're looking for an experienced email marketing specialist focused on community building, user retention, and lifecycle engagement rather than direct sales. You'll consolidate multiple fragmented email systems into one unified Braze platform. What You'll Do: Platform Consolidation: Audit current email systems across multiple apps and migrate everything to Braze for unified management Community Building: Develop email strategies that build engaged communities around each app's core purpose and user base Retention Campaigns: Create lifecycle email sequences focused on user engagement, feature adoption, and long-term retention Behavioral Triggers: Set up automated email flows based on app usage patterns, milestones, and user behavior Cross-App Strategy: Develop email strategies that work across multiple brands without creating user fatigue or confusion Performance Reporting: Provide weekly reports on engagement metrics, retention rates, and community growth indicators What We're Looking For: - 3+ years email marketing experience with focus on retention and engagement over direct sales - Braze platform expertise - comfortable with advanced segmentation, automation, and personalization features - Mobile app email experience - understanding of app user lifecycle and retention strategies - Community building mindset - experience creating email content that builds loyalty and engagement - Multi-brand experience - ability to manage different brand voices and audiences simultaneously - Analytics skills - comfortable with cohort analysis, retention metrics, and behavioral data Current Challenge: Our clients apps have fragmented email systems (Klaviyo, Braze, Mailchimp) with inconsistent messaging and poor retention rates. We need someone who can: - Consolidate multiple email platforms into one efficient Braze setup - Transform transactional emails into community-building touchpoints - Create engagement-focused campaigns that keep users active long-term - Build systematic retention programs that reduce churn What We're NOT Looking For: Traditional e-commerce email marketers focused on sales conversion Template-based email approach without strategic thinking One-size-fits-all email strategies across different app categories What Success Looks Like: Successfully migrate all apps to unified Braze platform within 15 days Increase email engagement rates by 50%+ within 90 days Improve 90-day user retention through strategic email sequences Boost LTV Build sustainable email programs that foster long-term community engagement Deliver actionable weekly reports showing retention and engagement improvements
