Social Media Manager & Content Strategist (B2C Tech Focus)

Project Overview We’re seeking a seasoned social media professional to step in immediately and own our B2C content strategy, posting cadence, and influencer partnerships for web and mobile app/tech platforms. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our in-house designer (who provides all creative assets), optimize our social management tool, and drive real, measurable engagement—no lengthy kickoff sprints or retainer commitments required. Key Responsibilities Audit current social channels and recommend optimizations (platform mix, post frequency, formats) Build and execute a monthly content calendar focused on app user acquisition and engagement Coordinate asset hand-off and scheduling with our designer Handle day-to-day posting, community engagement, and basic moderation Identify, vet, and manage micro- and macro-influencer collaborations tailored to tech audiences Monitor and report on KPIs (engagement, growth, reach, installs) on a regular cadence Evaluate Sprout Social (or alternative tools) and implement improvements Must-Have Qualifications 3+ years managing B2C social media for digital platforms (web apps, mobile apps, SaaS/consumer tech) Proven track record of boosting organic engagement and follower growth in a tech/app environment Hands-on experience with influencer outreach, negotiation, and campaign execution for tech audiences Proficient with Sprout Social or comparable scheduling/analytics tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, Later) Strong collaborator and communicator—able to work seamlessly with designers and stakeholders Data-driven approach: comfortable pulling analytics, interpreting performance, and iterating quickly Nice-to-Have Experience in both B2B and B2C tech social media Background with lifestyle or fitness apps, consumer tech brands, or digital marketplaces Basic social copywriting skills—crisp captions that drive clicks and installs Familiarity drafting or reviewing simple influencer contracts and briefs What to Include in Your Proposal Overview of your B2C tech/social media experience and key successes Two examples of influencer campaigns you’ve led for a web or mobile app (role, results) Preferred scheduling tool and rationale for your choice Availability (hrs/week) and expected turnaround for asset scheduling Engagement Details
