Seeking an experienced Business Process Automation (BPA) Specialist for a 4-month full-time contract to lead the development of our workflow library. This role will be responsible for documenting, analyzing, and structuring workflow patterns across for two industries: staffing and healthcare. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in business process analysis, workflow optimization, and automation technologies, with the ability to translate complex processes into structured, actionable frameworks. Workflow Library Development • Lead the creation of a comprehensive workflow library covering 30-40 common processes across these two industries • Design and implement a standardized framework for documenting and classifying workflows • Develop a taxonomy for categorizing processes by function, complexity, industry specificity, and automation potential • Create templates for common workflow patterns that can be adapted across the industries • Document relationships and dependencies between different workflows Process Analysis and Documentation • Conduct structured interviews with industry employees to capture workflow details • Analyze existing process documentation from industry sources and regulatory guidelines • Identify common pain points, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in current workflows • Document process inputs, outputs, steps, decision points, and exception handling • Create clear, detailed workflow diagrams and process maps Automation Opportunity Mapping • Identify automation opportunities within each documented workflow • Pair workflows with appropriate automation technologies and approaches • Develop a framework for generating tiered recommendations (low, medium, high budget) • Create implementation guidance templates with step-by-step instructions • Document expected ROI metrics and success indicators for each automation opportunity Knowledge Base Structure • Design the structure and organization of the workflow knowledge base • Develop metadata and tagging systems for efficient retrieval and matching • Create a framework for continuous improvement and updates to the library • Establish quality standards and validation processes for workflow documentation • Develop documentation that can be effectively utilized by our NLP/AI systems
