As Tax/Bookkeeping Reviewer, you will work closely with your team and partners, prepare and review complex individual and business tax returns, including trusts, estate, & non-profit returns for clients in a diverse range of industries. In addition, you will complete complex tax planning and research, manage complex accounting transactions, provide business consulting while developing and cultivating professional relationships. Other responsibilities include: · Proficient in first-level tax review · Researching tax issues, preparing research memos · Identifying, assessing, and informing management of tax related issues · Collaboratively working with client team members while building rapport and strong client relationships · Working closely with staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the project · Training other team members and providing appropriate feedback To be successful in this position, you will need: · Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills · Ability to effectively delegate work as needed · Strong analytical, research and critical thinking skills · Demonstrated project management skillset including project planning, time management, and timely updates to upper management and client team members · Excellent judgement, including the willingness to seek advice of appropriate superiors regarding issues and problems · Ability to work independently while contributing to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with other team members · Understanding of and ability to work within time budgets Education and experience: · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required) · Master’s degree in Accounting or Tax (preferred) · CPA (required) · 7+ years of prior experience in public accounting (required)
