Position Overview for MasterSpaParts.com: Key Responsibilities: • Audit & Analysis: Perform a thorough audit of our Magento website, analyzing load times, database performance, server configuration, and third-party integrations. • Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective solutions for faster load times and improved user experience. • New Relic Monitoring: Utilize New Relic to monitor application performance, track errors, and provide actionable insights for improvements. • Code Review: Review and optimize front-end and back-end code for performance best practices. • Database Optimization: Ensure database queries are efficient and scalable, optimizing Magento's interaction with the database. • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues affecting the site’s performance, including slow page load speeds, server errors, or resource-heavy processes. • Collaboration: Work closely with design, development, and operations teams to ensure alignment of performance goals with business objectives. • Documentation: Provide clear documentation and reports outlining audit findings, actions taken, and performance improvements. ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Experience: o Minimum of 5+ years of experience working with Magento version 2.x preferred. o Proven experience with performance audits and optimization for Magento websites. o Solid understanding of server-side and front-end performance issues. • Technical Skills: o Strong expertise in New Relic or similar performance monitoring tools. o Proficient in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. o Experience with Magento’s caching mechanisms (e.g., Varnish, Redis, etc.). o Knowledge of server configurations, Cloudflare integration, and image optimization strategies. • Problem Solving: o Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose complex performance issues and implement actionable solutions. o Strong analytical skills, with experience in identifying performance bottlenecks and working under tight deadlines. • Bonus Skills: o Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools. o Understanding of front-end frameworks and optimization tools (e.g., Webpack, Lighthouse).
