We are seeking an experienced Excel specialist to develop a comprehensive program for our organization. The project will involve creating timesheets, conducting cost analysis, financial forecasting, and data analysis. Additionally, we require the development of dashboards for visual representation and support in workforce planning and recruitment processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Excel functions and data manipulation, along with a keen understanding of financial metrics and workforce management. We have existing Excel-based systems that require refinement, automation, and the development of new, more robust tools to enhance our operational efficiency and decision-making. What We're Looking For: We need an Excel wizard who can transform raw labour hire data into clear, actionable insights. This role is crucial for ensuring our data integrity, streamlining workflows, and supporting our growth in the Australian agricultural sector. Key Responsibilities: The successful freelancer will be responsible for a range of tasks, which may include (but are not limited to): Advanced Excel Model Development: Design and build complex, dynamic Excel models for tracking labour hours. Create interactive dashboards that provide real-time insights into key performance indicators (KPIs) for our labour hire operations. Develop forecasting tools for workforce demand and supply. VBA Automation & Scripting: Write, debug, and optimize VBA macros to automate repetitive data entry, data cleaning, report generation, and data transfer tasks. Develop custom functions and user forms to enhance existing Excel tools. Automate the generation of client-specific reports and internal operational summaries. Power Query & Power Pivot Implementation: Utilize Power Query for efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources (e.g., CSVs, external databases, other Excel files). Build robust data models using Power Pivot to integrate disparate datasets and enable complex analysis. Data Validation & Integrity: Implement advanced data validation rules and conditional formatting to ensure data accuracy and consistency within our spreadsheets. Develop error-checking mechanisms to identify and flag discrepancies in labour and financial data. Process Improvement & Documentation: Review existing Excel-based processes and propose innovative solutions for efficiency gains. Document all developed models, macros, and processes clearly for future maintenance and knowledge transfer. Required Skills & Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel: Advanced Formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, OFFSET, INDIRECT, Array Formulas, Dynamic Arrays, etc.) VBA Programming (macro development, user forms, custom functions) Power Query (M language) Power Pivot (DAX language) Data Validation, Conditional Formatting, Pivot Tables, Charts & Graphs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with large datasets. Attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality results. Experience in labour hire or agricultural sectors is a significant advantage. Understanding of Australian business context for data handling.
