Description: We’re seeking an experienced Venture Capital Advisor to guide investor strategy, support pitch development, and help us navigate the early stages of capital formation. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the fundraising roadmap of a deep-tech startup working to commercialize a breakthrough in battery anode materials. About Us: We are a pre-seed cleantech venture developing next-generation lithium-ion battery anodes using halloysite-silicon (HNT-Si) composites. Our materials have the potential to outperform graphite and silicon-carbon in capacity, stability, and sourcing resilience. Our goal is to raise $10 million to validate prototypes and secure early defense and commercial demonstration partners. We are building a world-class founding team and are offering equity compensation with the potential for a structured advisory or board role post-raise. Key Responsibilities: Shape capital strategy and advise on funding milestones and stage targets Identify and prioritize relevant venture capital firms, corporate strategics, and family offices Refine pitch positioning and market narrative for investor presentations Make introductions or help us approach relevant institutional investors and accelerators Review or contribute to materials for pitch decks, data rooms, and due diligence Advise on term sheet expectations, investor alignment, and long-term cap table strategy Ideal Candidate: Former VC, venture partner, angel investor, or startup advisor with strong fundraising experience Demonstrated success raising pre-seed, seed, or Series A funding in cleantech or deep tech Deep understanding of the early-stage investor landscape (climate tech/energy preferred) Strong network in venture capital or corporate venture arms (battery/energy is a plus) Comfortable working with founders in a pre-revenue, equity-only phase Engagement Details: Advisory role; 3–5 hours/month to start Remote OK; regular Zoom updates with the founder Equity-based engagement, with potential for advisory board or formal role post-raise Flexible scope based on interest, availability, and value creation How to Apply: Please send: A short summary of your relevant venture or advisory experience Sample companies you’ve helped raise capital for (or VCs you’ve worked with) Your availability and interest in an equity-based advisor relationship Join us at the ground floor of a venture aiming to redefine what’s possible in lithium-ion battery performance—and help us build the right investor coalition to make it real.
