The Charlotte Chess Center (CCC), a renowned and award-winning Chess Academy based in Charlotte, NC, is looking for an experienced data analyst, writer, and editor for analysis of data we have compiled on our Academy students over an extended period of time. We are looking for someone to help us validate the data we have compiled and assembled. Substantiate the key findings and recommend any further inquiries into the data or other sources. Then we are requesting a detailed write-up and synopsis of the data, charts, and illustrations of the conclusions that can be published as a White Paper/Complete Assessment. Skills Required: A minimum of 10 years as an analyst, researcher, and published technical writer of past projects. (Samples will be requested) A past focus on Scholastic or Educational Development and Cognitive Progression in mastering a subject is highly desired. Age of Students being analyzed is 5 -13 years old. So past experience in studies on younger students is highly desired. Understanding the game of Chess is a bonus. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills (Excel) and ability to run your own inquiries into the data provided. The goal of this project is to take the detailed analysis and conclusions and then distill them into easily digestible educational content for Parents and our Coaches to set expectations on a child's journey in learning chess -- the time, age impacts and the benefits of tournament competition. You will work directly with a small decision-making team: Founder/Owner of the CCC, Marketing Director, and Communications Manager. Position will be remote. In-person is not required.
