Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned Windows Architect or Senior Windows Engineer to join our IT infrastructure team in the northern suburbs of Illinois. This role requires deep technical expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, Domain Controllers, and VMware. You’ll be responsible for architecting, implementing, and supporting a secure and scalable Windows infrastructure for a dynamic enterprise environment. Key Responsibilities: • Architect and maintain enterprise-level Windows Server environments and Domain Controllers. • Design and manage Active Directory structures, policies, and integrations. • Oversee virtualization environments using VMware, ensuring performance and redundancy. • Lead infrastructure projects from concept through deployment, including migrations and upgrades. • Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to align infrastructure with business and compliance requirements. • Provide high-level support and act as a technical escalation point for complex system issues. Requirements: • 7+ years of experience in Windows systems engineering or architecture roles. • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, AD/Group Policy, and Domain Controller configuration. • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere/ESXi and virtual infrastructure management. • Familiarity with scripting and automation using PowerShell or similar tools. • Experience in designing resilient, high-availability infrastructure solutions. • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
