About the Role We are seeking a Bioinformatician with strong expertise in pipeline development, a deep understanding of clinical genomics across diverse disease areas (e.g., oncology, infertility, pharmacogenomics), and hands-on experience working in cloud-based environments. This role is ideal for someone who is technically robust, detail-oriented, and thrives in cross-functional teams. You’ll be joining a growing team building scalable, production-ready bioinformatics solutions for clinical and research partners. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines using Nextflow, Snakemake, or similar workflow management tools. • Integrate genomic data (e.g., VCF, BAM, FASTQ) into analytical frameworks that support clinical interpretation in pharmacogenomics, oncology, and reproductive health. • Optimize workflows for cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Databricks, Google Cloud) for scalable processing and data storage. • Work collaboratively with clinical scientists, data scientists, and software engineers to translate analytical requirements into robust solutions. • Conduct quality control, variant annotation, and enrichment analyses using open-source and commercial tools. • Document pipelines and processes with a focus on reproducibility, compliance, and scalability. • Engage with stakeholders to align analysis outputs with regulatory, scientific, and clinical goals. ________________________________________ Qualifications • BSc or MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related field. • 2–5+ years’ hands-on experience in genomic data analysis and workflow development. • Proven hands-on experience with bioinformatics pipeline development. • Familiarity with clinical genomics use cases, including oncology, infertility, and pharmacogenomics. • Experience with at least one workflow management tool (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake, Cromwell). • Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, R) and working in Unix/Linux environments. • Strong version control practices using Git. • Experience working in cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure). • Understanding of databases like ClinVar, gnomAD, PharmGKB, or COSMIC is a plus. ________________________________________ Desirable Attributes • Enthusiastic collaborator who values scientific integrity and reproducibility. • Ability to work across multiple projects with evolving requirements. • Effective communicator who can present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
