Autonomous Workflow Development for Startup - Agentic System

We’re looking for an experienced Agentic System Engineer to help design and implement autonomous workflows for a recruitment tech startup. You’ll be working closely with our founding team to define and build internal systems that can operate with minimal human intervention, enabling scale, speed, and intelligence across our core product experiences. This is a high-ownership freelance role focused on fast prototyping and practical implementation. What You’ll Do: Design and implement autonomous workflows across user journeys, internal logic, and system-to-system interactions Integrate LLMs, APIs, or third-party tools to enable semi- or fully-autonomous task handling Build agent-based modules that can manage and make decisions based on user inputs and defined business rules Collaborate with the CTO to align on architecture, memory design, tool use, and fallback mechanisms Rapidly prototype solutions and iterate based on product feedback Ensure systems are traceable, fail-safe, and designed for real-world scale Who You Are: Experienced in building agentic workflows using LLMs, vector memory, and APIs Comfortable with system design under high ambiguity and evolving requirements Fluent in one or more languages suitable for LLM integrations (Python, JS, etc.) Able to prototype quickly and document processes clearly Familiar with frameworks like LangChain, AutoGen, OpenAI tools, or similar (not mandatory, but preferred)
