We are developing a powdered food supplement designed to support brain and gut health. The product is sold exclusively as a 28-day sachet pack available via monthly subscription. While individual sachets are not sold separately, they may occasionally be distributed as free samples or promotional giveaways. We are seeking expert guidance on how to label each individual sachet in accordance with UK food supplement regulations. What we need help with: - A review of what is legally required on individual sachets under UK law — considering that they are part of a multi-pack but may be handed out individually - Advice on mandatory vs optional information for sachets (e.g. product name, net quantity, ingredients, allergens, usage instructions, warnings, business details, best before, batch number, etc) - Input on health and nutrition claims and how they must appear on sachets vs main packaging - Guidance on font sizes, legibility, layout for sachets and outer packaging - Advice on any relevant FSA or Trading Standards expectations for powdered food supplements in sachet form Ideal consultant: - Strong knowledge of UK and EU food labelling law, especially food supplements - Experience working with powdered wellness products, sachets, or DTC health brands - Clear, practical communicator — able to simplify complex legal requirements into actionable guidance - Ideally familiar with Trading Standards expectations and how to ensure best-practice compliance in borderline situations (e.g. freebies, samples) - Bonus if familiar with novel ingredients, nootropics, or gut-brain formulations We’re looking to complete this guidance within the next 1–2 weeks, ideally with the option for a short consult/Q&A follow-up after.
